FAQs
What size trees can the Tree Table accommodate?
The legs are 4.5 inches apart, so our recommendation is a minimum tree diameter of 6.5 inches. This will vary depending on the bark, rougher bark means the feet can be more tangent to the tree. The Tree Table strap has roughly 9 feet of usable length. This means the maximum tree diameter is about 3 ft. For those in areas with exceptionally large trees, we have an optional strap extender coming during our next release of accessories!
What if the tree is crooked?
Even on a leaning tree, it’s surprisingly easy to get the table perfectly level. If a tree leans north–south, mounting the table on the east or west side gives you a naturally balanced surface.
What if I don’t have a tree where I want to use the table?
No problem! We built in the versatility and modularity of the Tree Table through our other two configurations: the Standalone Table, and the Ground Table. With these configurations, you can still use all of the accessories that we offer and give yourself a solid workspace wherever you set up camp!
When can I expect my order to ship?
All orders ship from our Michigan warehouse within 2 business days. Delivery time shown at checkout begins once your order ships. You'll receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order leaves our hands. Bundles containing multiple items ship together in a single package.
Are you worried about fires from placing canisters next to a tree?
No, just the opposite. The whole system is engineered to reduce fire risk. The key safety feature is that your stove is locked into the table, which prevents the number one cause of camp-stove fires: tipping. Eliminating tip-overs alone massively lowers the chance of anything catching fire, including the tree. Heat isn’t an issue either. Isobutane canister mounted stoves lose meaningful heat within about an inch, and on our setup the closest they ever get to the tree is around six inches. Traditional burners that throw a bit more heat can sit even farther out, up to fourteen inches away, well beyond their heat dissipation zone. For added protection, we offer a two-sided fire-resistant windscreen. It locks into the table so wind can’t blow it away. Bottom line: by preventing tip-overs and controlling stove placement, this setup reduces the risk of forest fires, not increases it.
